Vignavento is our pure Sangiovese. Of all the varieties we have, Sangiovese is the only one of “Italian” origin; this decision was made with the awareness that this grape variety was the only “Italian” that could give a high quality result in our territory. Wine of great elegance, in our opinion a great Sangiovese must be more similar to a Pinot Noir than to a Cabernet Sauvignon (obviously maintaining its peculiarities).
Organoleptic notes
Dark in its tonal concentration, very complex in the notes of tobacco and underbrush. In its typicality it has intense aromas of wild flowers, especially violet, mammolo and iris. The richness of the texture is supported and sustained by tannins with an attractive light graininess which gives extra density to the texture.
